“I became a better person and a better leader just from 2 days. What I have learned is that I will try to make my small but awesome community a better place and volunteer more! I have had a great experience and I really want to come back and help young adults my age make a difference.”

– Josh Riboli, Point Arena High School

“I never knew I could become as close to a group of strangers as I have.  I never knew I could initiate conversation. I never knew I could speak publicly. Until NOW.

– Chloe Sales, Castilleja School

“This experience really helped me improve my leadership skills.  I got to emerge out of my comfort zone and I had a great time.  I also got to improve my public speaking skills.  From here, I will volunteer even more and try to get other people involved.”

– Paige Brodrick, Prospect High School

“EDGE was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I did things I would have never imagined. The thing that surprised me the most was Toastmasters, I was so scared at first, but found that I was completely comfortable when I started. I am way more confident.”

“EDGE has helped me realize how important our stories are and how through everyday of life we need to be ourselves.  I have transformed because now I am a better public speaker and comfortable being who I am.  After I leave I am going to take these lessons and put them in my community.”

– Madysen Washburn, Robert Louis Stevenson School

“This has been the best weekend of my life. It was inspired me to stop thinking about action and start making action. I have become more aware of people's problems. I plan to inspire people the same way I was inspired here.”

I am so happy to have been able to participate in this seminar and I met so many new, wonderful leaders and I really, really hate to leave all of this and all of them! But now I feel more prepared to face the real world and be successful.”
